Configuring A Powder Jet Nozzle With Particle Tracking

Powder is inserted into the nozzle via an injector system, spraying the powder from the tip and impacting the target object at high velocity. We ran a case study to determining the optimal position of the powder inflow orifice (the position where the powder is drawn in efficiently).

Highly Viscous Fluid Spray With Slit Nozzle

A coating is made as uniformly as possible on the top of the target object by spraying a highly viscous fluid (honey, 8 Pa·s) from a slit nozzle. Normally, a coating die is used, but after considering weight limits and costs, we configured a slit nozzle to spray a highly viscous fluid as uniformly as possible without changing the nozzle itself. We created the optimal inner construction through repeated analysis.

Air Nozzle High Velocity Distribution Analysis

We analyzed the differences in spray velocity based on differences in nozzle orifice and spray shape outside the nozzle. We compared a cylindrical and straight orifice shape with a laval shape, and verified the effects on the spray outside of the nozzles, and through this we created an optimal nozzle shape for high velocity.
